Original Order (2024):
• Don’s Hat: Custom dark grey fedora
• Misty’s Hat: 55 cm beaver felt hat
• Both hats were part of a handcrafted couple’s order from Hoyle Hat.
Incident:
• During a theft at Hoyle Hat in 2024, Don’s hat was missing, leaving Misty’s hat still around
Current Update:
• With Don’s passing and a memorial planned in May 2025, Hoyle Hat will remake Don’s original fedora design in Misty’s size (55 cm) as a wearable tribute to honor his memory during the ceremony.
• This piece will carry deep symbolic meaning, crafted with the same integrity and intention Don’s original hat was designed with.
Material Fee:
• A $350 charge is required to source the premium materials needed to begin the remake.
• This charge is solely for materials, and not considered a final payment or markup.
Reconciliation Terms:
• This $350 will be treated as a mini-charge and will be returned to Misty within 365 days.
• Misty may choose to reconcile the amount in whatever way feels most meaningful to her:
• Direct refund
• Trade, services, or collaborative support
• Or a gesture of her choosing
Timeline:
• Materials will be ordered immediately upon confirmation.
• The remake will be completed and delivered prior to the May 2025 memorial, ensuring Misty has the piece in time to honor Don.
• Production will be handled with the utmost care, craftsmanship, and respect for Don’s legacy.
